We shoot primarily on a 35mm lens, which feels closer to natural human perspective than traditional tight portrait lenses. It creates a more honest sense of space and presence.
We avoid “studio portrait” signals, while capturing “this is how you actually appear in the world.”

After you book your shoot, we’ll contact you within 24 hours to confirm your booking and kick off the process.

After booking your Profile Review, you will be provided with a styling guide and scheduling instructions.
2. Profile Review
We’ll jump on a call, look at your current profile and figure out what’s actually holding it back. We’ll then select a location and strategize your shoot.
3. Capture
We meet for the shoot. Multiple scenes and outfit changes every 15–20 minutes.
4. Deliver
Profile-ready photos in your inbox within a week, including our top 10 picks to get you started.

You won’t need to know how to pose or do anything in front of the camera. We’ll guide you through everything in a way that feels natural and easy, so it never feels stiff or awkward.

Every shoot includes our Fresh Image Styling Guide — a curated breakdown of what works on camera, what to avoid, and how to put together outfits that look natural and intentional without overthinking it. For most guys, the guide is all they need.
If you’d rather have hands-on help, we can set you up with a complimentary styling appointment at Nordstrom. A personal stylist will walk you through outfit selection in-store, with the Fresh Image Method in mind. There’s no obligation to buy anything, and the appointment itself is free.
Either way, you’ll know exactly what to wear and bring on the day of your shoot.
The point of view of a dating profile photo is often overlooked. During our shoot, I’ll both pose you and choose angles very intentionally to emulate how a woman would see you in real life. Whether that means checking you out from far away, or sitting at a table with you enjoying a laugh, she’ll be able to easily imagine herself sharing that moment with you.
There’s a common saying in the photography industry that the lens you use matters much more than your camera. This is because different lenses can completely change the structure of an image.
I primarily use a 35 mm lens which is much wider (less zoomed-in) than a standard 85 mm “portrait lens”. This makes the photos feel more intimate and less like they are looking at you through a telescope. The 35 mm also reduces the feeling that the photos are overly professional and manicured.
For reference, a standard iPhone camera on 1x uses a 24 mm lens, so the photos we’ll take are much more similar in feel to photos she’s used to seeing in day to day life— just WAY better!
